The Mission | The Restaurant | The Culinary Historian
Pharm Table isn’t just another healthy restaurant. Founded by Chef Elizabeth Johnson—a culinary historian who helped secure San Antonio’s UNESCO City of Gastronomy designation—the restaurant delivers a globally inspired, anti-inflammatory menu based on an "apothecary kitchen" concept. The restaurant focuses on fresh farm produce and meats carefully sourced from regenerative farmers. Our niche is locally sourced ingredients, and globally inspired flavors that promote an overall better quality of life. We believe in the medicinal power of food and botanicals. Our recipes are driven by our use of spices and herbs, and they reflect the season’s bounty.
Our food paradigm is influenced by the time-honored practice of eating with the seasons and sourcing from small local farms, which in turn reduces our carbon footprint and improves the wellness of our community and environment. We design our menus to utilize scraps and trim from the kitchen, maximizing the nutrients found in the skin of plants AND avoiding food waste.
