Pharm Table Mantra #7: Eat Probiotic-Rich Foods

The Pharm Table kitchen follows 10 mantras based on Ayurveda, cuisines from the Blue Zones, and heritage foods of the Southwest. Our seventh mantra: Eat probiotic-rich foods (fermented foods), like kombucha, kimchi, sauerkraut and organic miso.

Eating probiotics can help restore balance to your gut. Good bacteria found in probiotic-rich foods can help offset an overage of bad bacteria caused by sickness, poor diet or the use of antibiotics.

Probiotics can help boost your immune system by helping your body produce natural antibodies to harmful bacteria. They can also promote regularity in digestion and act as an anti-inflammatory for people with eczema or dairy allergies.

We recommend drinking kombucha and eating fermented foods. Kimchi, sauerkraut and organic miso are three great options.
